Association of Global Custodians Depository Questionnaire 2009/10
SEC ( U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission) has stated the circumstances under which U.S. investment companies may hold securities through non-US securities depositories - rule 17f-7. The Association of Global Custodians (an informal group of nine US banks) developed a questionnaire, and annually received responses from more than 125 central depositories.

In 1997, BIS (Bank for International Settlement) and IOSCO (the International Organization of Securities Commissions) conducted a world wide survey on securities settlement systems.

ISSA Recommendations
In 2000, ISSA (International Securities Services Association) defined a series of recommendations for securities and clearance systems updating those recommendations originally conceived by the Group of Thirty. In 2001, a status report of compliance with the ISSA recommendations was submitted.
